How to Evaluate a Wiper System Manufacturer

Evaluate a supplier by the configuration it can document and deliver for your project. A long brand list, a headline factory capacity or a low quote does not replace drawings, sample review and a clear supply scope.
Start with a written requirement
Define the windshield geometry, desired wiping arrangement, mounting positions, electrical supply, environment and quantity. State whether the enquiry concerns a replacement component or a new system. LEILI’s KG references describe layout forms; dimensions and the supplied configuration are agreed per project.
Request evidence that can be checked
| Supplier question | Useful evidence |
|---|---|
| Can the configuration fit? | Dimensioned drawing, interfaces, sweep/parking layout and review of installation photographs. |
| What is included? | An itemised quotation identifying motor, linkage, arms, blades and washer components where supplied. |
| What has been validated? | Model-specific reports or project sample records with stated conditions. |
| How is production controlled? | Drawing revisions, agreed inspection requirements and traceability for the order. |
| What happens after delivery? | Written warranty terms, contact route and claim information. |
Compare quotations on the same basis
Compare quantities, material and finish requirements, tooling or development scope, packaging, delivery terms and included documentation. Separate confirmed items from options. A headline unit price is not comparable when the drawings, accessories or verification work differ.
Use sample review before production release
Agree the sample configuration and acceptance checks with the supplier. Record fitment, electrical operation and any project-required checks under defined conditions. Resolve differences in the drawing and quotation before authorising the production configuration.
Review LEILI on the confirmed business facts
LEILI identifies its products using its own model references; they are not OE-number cross-references. Its owner-confirmed annual capacity is 1,000,000 units, not 1,000,000 complete assemblies. Ask for current certificates and their scope rather than relying on historic images. Wiper blades have no warranty; other products and components have a one-year warranty from delivery under the published warranty terms.
Build a scorecard from your requirements
Record the evidence received, gaps, responsible reviewer and decision for each requirement. Weight the criteria to your project rather than copying an unexplained supplier ranking. This article does not claim first-pass yield, repeat-order rates or customer savings without underlying records.
Send the information needed for a technical review
Send installation photographs, the LEILI model if known, measured dimensions or a drawing, electrical supply and quantity. LEILI model numbers identify our own products or layout references; they are not OE-number cross-references. Contact LEILI for a configuration review.
