Choose a wiper motor for its actual installation and documented protection rating. A high IP number in a catalogue does not establish resistance to every cleaning method, water exposure or operating environment. The enclosure, connector and mounting arrangement all need review.
Read the rating before choosing the motor
The first IP digit concerns solid-object or dust ingress; the second concerns water ingress. Dust-protected and dust-tight are different descriptions. Water-jet and immersion ratings describe different tests; do not assume one establishes the other.

Separate the selected model from the product family
LEILI has confirmed an IP52 rating for ZD2533. That statement applies to ZD2533; it must not be copied to other models, voltage variants or complete wiper assemblies without confirmation. Ask which exact configuration the available report covers.
Describe the real exposure

Request traceable evidence
Record the model and drawing revision, test standard and edition, sample configuration, laboratory or test facility, test date, conditions and result. An enclosure rating alone does not establish salt-spray resistance, electrical compatibility or service life. If the report does not cover the proposed installation, agree a validation plan before production.
Investigate water ingress systematically
If moisture appears inside a unit, record the installation and exposure before disassembly. Have a qualified technician check the connector, seals, cable entry, mounting orientation and condition of the housing. A symptom may arise from the installation or a damaged part; replacing a motor with a higher advertised rating does not establish the cause.
