The term wiper assembly does not always identify the same package of parts. Specify the mechanical layout and list the components required so that a quotation can be compared against the installation.
Separate the layout from the supplied parts
LEILI KG references show general wiping arrangements. They do not define a single universal centre distance, blade length, voltage or reservoir capacity. Agree those details in the project drawing and quotation.
List what is included
| Part group | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Drive | Selected motor, voltage variant, connector and parking/control requirements. |
| Mechanism | Pivots, linkage or direct-drive arrangement, crank and mounting interfaces. |
| Glass-contact parts | Arm and blade configuration for the selected windshield. |
| Washer system | Reservoir, pumps, tubing and nozzles only where included in the order. |
| Installation items | Mounting parts and documentation supplied or provided by the vehicle builder. |
Measure the installation
Record windshield width and height, mounting points, available space and parking requirements. Send photographs with a reference scale. Keep the same orientation when labelling left/right and the drawing views. Confirm the proposed sweep and clearances through engineering review and agreed sample checks.
Compare assembly quotations
Ask each supplier to identify the drawing revision, components, options and excluded items. Separate the approved configuration from illustrative catalogue photographs. Similar layout names do not guarantee that two assemblies are interchangeable.
Continue with the appropriate next step
Use the bus assembly guide for the component roles and the custom-system process for the steps from enquiry to configuration confirmation.
Send the information needed for a technical review
Send installation photographs, the LEILI model if known, measured dimensions or a drawing, electrical supply and quantity. LEILI model numbers identify our own products or layout references; they are not OE-number cross-references. Contact LEILI for a configuration review.
